Hello my dear friends!
Oh my goodness, it feels like forever since I’ve written on here! My whole website has strayed out of time and space for a few weeks, as I have been doing a lot of rebirthing and reinventing.. as well as some domain swapping (literally and metaphorically) – anyways, I am back and I have so much to share!
First of all to anyone reading this – so much love and gratitude to you. You are my people. I’m so happy we get to connect in this way and that my words can reach you and touch you (hopefully in the best way!).
So where to begin…
I have been in sort of “retreat” mode and coming back into sharing again feels so beautiful. Sometimes in isolation – though solitude can be so revitalizing – I forget just how amazing people really are. I mean it. One of my shadow-y defaults is to be afraid of people. But I am continually reminded that there really are so many inspiring souls around and being drawn to me when I show up authentically. It is such a great reminder that we are truly not alone and need not be alone. We are here to give AND receive love – not just hide.
Anyways – I first want to share that my website is back up and running – this is my favorite layout so far! And all of my music, offerings, book, and blog are back up and easily accessible at good ol’ www.transformingthedarkness.com.
I have been releasing a lot of new music lately – The Real Comes and Complexities are probably my favorite so far. As well as Boundless Edge – a song I wrote a couple years ago with almost a country-ish vibe about a deep generational trauma healing experience and lyrically, it is still one of my favorites. I feel like those reading are specifically the niche for these kinds of songs and the poetry within them – with the apparent undertones of healing, perseverance, and grace within the intense shadow-y parts of life. In this case, we’re talking about staring face to face with those aspects of the family tree that are, truly, “so busted up it brings me to my knees”.
My next album Heart Breaking Open releases April 30th, and I’ve already got singles that I am even MORE excited about sharing after that!
On top of that I have an official artist Youtube Channel specifically for my music and releases you can find here. I have been posting clips and whatnot on there almost everyday and I find it really fun to come up with new things to share.
So I really have been doing a lot behind the scenes that now is coming to fruition and I couldn’t be more excited. This is truly just the beginning.
And I am so excited to be back!
The biggest lesson I have learned that I am really embodying is – just simply being me. Not overthinking it. Loving and accepting all that I am. This is a necessity – and it is really highlighted when you put yourself out there more. That is one of the greatest experiences of doing this kind of work – as far as expansion – because you really have to be secure in yourself, in God, and in what God is calling you to do when you want to show up more. You really have to let go of the limiting stories and attachment to out come and trust where God is leading you moment by moment and learn to see humbly and lovingly why you are exactly where you are in each moment.
If anything – I hope that alone is enough to inspire you and others to show up deeper for whatever your heart is calling you towards because let me tell ya – as much as I talk about how amazing this journey is (and it sure is), it is SO FREAKING HARD SOMETIMES. Oh my lord. I always want to be transparent about that. Its strange, but this path feels like the most amazing and divine – and most challenging and “are you serious” at the same time. There is a saying though – that if you can see your path ahead super clearly – you might be on someone else’s. I often find myself walking in deep faith one step to another – and it always works out. Trust!
The incredible thing is that the more you push past the things you thought you could never push past, the more you start to realize how strong you really are. How much you really can handle. How much fear IS AN ILLUSION. How much you can actually grow – and that growth seems to be exponential – which is very exciting. Quantum leaping, if you will.
The real growth being the love and peace and divine connection you feel to God- to the Truth- to the NOW – THAT is the return home. To me, that is true success – and everything else is just a beautiful expression and experience reflecting that which we get to have.
So you’ll be seeing a lot more (if you choose)- both on my Transforming the Darkness platform sharing messages and meditations, as well as musically.
