Musings on Trusting God/Higher Self’s Plan For You– and Not Getting “What You Want”
Have you ever realized that sometimes, not getting what you want, was actually an incredible blessing?
This is something I am currently pondering on as I reflect upon my life and it was so inspiring I wanted to share.
As I talk about often- we are in a pivotal time of human evolution in consciousness. Beyond our control- we are all making MASSIVE shifts in how we are continuing to be and show up in the world. And part of this beautiful shift is the realization of just how much “3D Programming” or trauma-based mind control we have all survived and are continuing to see and free ourselves from. These beliefs and fragmentations that, we are realizing day to day, may cause us to subconsciously (but becoming conscious!) act in ways that are truly perplexing to say the least. This “shadow work” is some of the most hardcore and rewarding work I believe we are doing here- for ourselves, our lineage, and the entire collective of humanity.
That said, I have found that as we continue to become aware of this and set out hearts intent firmly on awakening and remembering who we TRULY are- the path of our greatest self comes before us. This is an immediate path revealed to us in each moment we choose to be awake- awake simply meaning to remember our infinite awareness/God/Higher Self/Presence beyond this illusion as we are navigating it in physical body.
Getting back to the point- when we ask, the path of our greatest destiny indeed presents itself before us and it is our choice each now moment to walk it. This requires the deepest, firmest, most intimate trust- because there are SO MANY THINGS upon this path that in some (many) moments will simply not make sense to our ego self- and in fact it will TRIGGER the ego self greatly. In other words, it will trigger your mind control and who you THINK you are and in doing so, ultimately invite you to come deeper into the real Being that you are.
As I like to remind myself and others- while we often see these alchemical moments as us being “wrong” – this IS the path of evolution. And the more we can remember and lean into this, the more enjoyable life becomes.
This is how we see exactly what we’ve been in – these old, deep, programmed ways of being must be revealed to us. We must be able to SEE them in order to truly TRANSMUTE them and walk the path God is preparing us with greater mastery. As we see and observe the human shadows, we shine the light of our awareness on what’s been hidden and NATURALLY shift through what may have seemed “unshiftable”. This is how we expand and embody the infinitely abundant and creative beings that we are. AKA, break out of the mind control and be FREE humans.
I can’t emphasize how much I have been being asked to trust myself and have faith in this path. In some moments its crystal clear and easy. In some moments it is so intense that I truly struggle to surrender to what is arising. Such is the human experience. If I can relay any wisdom in this article- it would be again a deep reminder to trust the path that is being given to you, by you… even when (ESPECIALLY WHEN) it is pushing your limits of what you think you’re capable of.
For I am currently in a space where I can look back and see how divinely orchestrated it all has been- every single detail- more than my own physical mind could ever have made up or planned. The way our Higher Self conducts us is truly beyond the ego’s understanding and yet its intelligence is always so profound when we are able to see glimpses of it.
I can see how every thing that I have received in life so far- and everything that I have NOT received in life so far- is an intelligent response not simply to what I think I want.. but to what I NEED. Which is what I truly want on a soul level. I can see how abundant and blessed I have truly been. AND I can see how the things I thought that I desperately wanted in certain moments I was not ready for- and in the not getting what I thought I wanted- was a divine protection and gift in the long run of my soul’s path. That is why I say- not getting what you *think* you want can actually be a huge blessing in disguise.
And what’s more- it is often when we surrender (by seeing and allowing) our ego’s desperation for its desires (desperation is usually a mask for despair), when the thing we want strolls on into our life!
My point here is this- if you are setting this intention I have mentioned of being a vessel for God/Higher Self- trust and allow it as deeply and wholeheartedly as you can in each moment. So that the real you may enjoy the ride of the human journey that much more. Because God/Self DOES have a plan for YOU that is beyond time and space and limited human logic.
For your ego can easily find all kinds of things to criticize as too much, not enough, etc. But I am learning more and more that what is arising in each moment for me is perfect and by design to give me exactly what I need- what I TRULY desire. And so as I lean ever DEEPER into this knowing, I am amazed at how much more simple life can be.
I don’t need to fight what is or who I am. I can actually fully allow it all and surrender into the divine design that I am co-creating with my higher self. It is truly such a more peaceful and harmonious way to live- the flow state. And importantly- those moments where I am triggered or resisting some kind of contrast- I can begin to have EVEN MORE compassion for myself, more gentleness for myself, more firmness for myself- more UNCONDITIONAL LOVE for myself and ease back into the flow again. Because I don’t see my human self as bad or wrong for being triggered or afraid or ashamed or confused or whatever it may be- I don’t have to judge or condemn my experience as bad and spiral deeper into the illusion. I can stay grounded in the knowingness that I am an eternal soul on a human journey-and this IS IT. I don’t need to be doing something else or having something else. I can ALLOW myself to be whole and complete in this moment as is. And THAT my friends, is the greatest success of my life I can imagine: TRUE FREEDOM. And it is from this internal power that the outer world will reflect this power back to you.
Throughout all of my desperate clinging, controlling, and resistance to what is in life- I can tell you I KNOW now my Higher Self is looking out for who I AM. My inner being is not just interested in fulfilling my egotistical desires or mind-control driven fantasies of what I think I want or need. Nor is it about merely trying to satisfy and affirm the deep wounds of abandonment and not being good enough. Honestly, I’m not here for superficial abundance or success that the ego wants.
My soul is fulfilling my deep need to evolve, to be whole, to remember the unconditional love and joy and power that I AM. My soul is out here fulfilling the WHOLE NINE YARDS of genuine holistic success and abundance in ways my ego/physical mind could simply not imagine. A deeply embodied, unconditional STATE OF BEING that IS the source of abundance and success itself. This state that manifests this material reality from the inside out.
Why does it do this? Because this IS what I TRULY want, what I ask for, what I NEED.
And in all my times of “relapsing” back into fear and ego and control- IS ALSO part of this manifestation- because it is teaching me exactly WHAT I NEED to realize the truth I desire. It’s all truly working out for me in mutlidimensional perfection. And it is for you too.
And so that leaves one to wonder – how can I trust and lean into God/Higher Self/life even MORE in each moment? How can I ALLOW my Higher Self to DRIVE me along my path through the seen and unseen?
Because once your intention is set and truly committed to – God’s path for you is in motion. It doesn’t matter what you are going through or how much you are judging yourself for what you are experiencing or thinking or feeling- if you just keep moving through it there will come a point where you will be amazed at how divine it all is. Everything you deem as a mistake you made or are making- if you are committed to this path- will only be used as fodder even MORE for your greatest and highest good.
My point in all this is to relax then, weary traveler, and let it flow. Perhaps you don’t need to be so hard on yourself, or dwell in a parallel reality where you think you should be doing something else. Arrive in the present moment and allow yourself to be whole and perfect now. Break the mind control and come into the eternal presence of the heart. REMEMBER who you REALLY are. For it is HERE that you will realize the perfection of God’s plan for you- no matter what part you are currently in. It is here the truth can guide you freely.
There are many things in this life that ARE simply out of your ego’s control- and so why let them control YOU? You- an eternal, infinite being of LIGHT. And my point also means- even if you find yourself being controlled by your mind again – can you have compassion with your human self and just allow it to be okay again and again? Realize it IS the process, it’s your process and journey back home. That’s all. Every time- coming even DEEPER into your perfect wholeness. Beyond the many physical and ideological attachments we cling to in this life- I find THIS is at the CORE of what we are all really after anyways.
You can only be free NOW. Not at some point in the future. The only reality IS NOW and at any moment you can free yourself by waking up out of the dream of this illusion and remembering who you truly are- infinite awareness in a human body having the experience of a lifetime.
And you can take a big breath and remember to ENJOY THE RIDE because it is beyond your egoic control. Let your HIGHER SELF show you the divine plan it has in store for you- I promise it is greater and grander than you can any of us can even conceive.
